Year two:
Think, Make, Do, Be

Approaching Year Two of Think Kit with much more lead time than our hurried beginnings allowed for a little extra planning. We categorized the prompts into different categories: Think, Make, Do and Be. The "Make" prompts were more active than what we'd done in the past, and we loved these mini-adventures.

A couple of new team members jumped in, adding some great elements to the project. Jon planned a launch party featuring pints and cookies and some great DJs at the Speak Easy. We got a chance to meet some of the folks who were participating for the first time. In her very first week as a SmallBoxer, Abby got roped in too. She helped write the "Lifelines" – extra prompts participants could use if they were stumped by the daily prompt.

A couple of crazy things happened in Year Two. Think Kit spread further than we expected. In the beginning, most of the participants were first or second degree connections. In Year Two, we had folks writing from across the US. To that, we say, "The more, the merrier!" We also noticed a lot of people started blogs for the very first time, using the project as that final bit of motivation to get going. Being a part of that leap to storytelling on the web is an incredible honor for us.
